High Alpha: Jimmy Montague

Friends,

I hope that everyone is doing well, and that you are enjoying the amazing warm weather that has finally arrived. The past weeks have been exciting ones for Lambda Chi, and the upcoming weeks hold only more excitement for the brothers as the spring semester begins to wind down.

This week is our annual Teeter-Totter-athon, and we will be riding the Teeter-Totter until this coming Saturday evening. We look forward to this year’s event being the strongest in recent history, and we even had 3 different news stations at the house from 4 AM- 9 AM this morning broadcasting our event live to the local Indianapolis area. It was the earliest I had ever seen so many college students awake since being here at Butler.
We are also sponsoring a cook-out this Thursday evening for all of campus, as well as a concert on Friday evening that will be free to all of campus. If you would like to learn more, or even donate please donate the events website at http://www.active.com/donate/teetertotter

This coming Wednesday our house will be hosting an on campus Greek forum that will revolve around our President Bobby Fong's message about the next steps of the Amethyst Initiative. This will be a forum held for the Greek community to come discuss and express their opinions on this national initiative. It will be a well attended event by all Greek students on campus, and we look forward to hosting it.

We will also be having a fraternal education session this week where our academic advisor will be giving a presentation to the men of the house on how to properly seek out an internship or job in today's less than stellar market. It is going to be a great session in which the brothers will have the opportunity to learn exactly how to go about finding success in today's market.

I hope that everyone has a great week, and that we see you out on the Teeter-Totter in the near future!

Jimmy Montague
