October 3, 2005 Good day to you all! Last week was a great success here at Lambda Chi Alpha! On Wednesday we had a wonderful dinner with two professionals in the world of finance. On Saturday we had four of our members run the Phi Psi 5k and all four finished in the top third of the field. And finally, Sunday was a tremendous day as we associated 4 new members, handed out scholastic scholarships totaling $4,000 and officially installed Dr. Elgan Baker as the chapter's alumni advisor. This week although only three days is also incredibly busy. This evening we have to VIPs coming by from our international headquarters to share in the brotherhood and give the chapter some tips on recruitment. Tomorrow, Mr. Mitch Woods, our Educational Leadership Consultant, will arrive to conduct an evaluation of the chapter and its officers. During his visit we will be holding an Alcohol Awareness Dinner to keep the chapter informed on the danger of inappropriate and costly uses of alcohol. This dinner will be on Wednesday evening at 6.
