High Alpha: Jimmy Montague

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that all is well. The last week has been a great one for the men of Lambda Chi, and the coming week has great events in store as well.

This last week we visited Wheeler Mission once again and served dinner to the homeless on Friday evening. We are hoping to visit Wheeler at least ten times this semester and are well on our way to accomplishing that goal. We enjoyed a brotherhood dinner on Friday where the theme was "Food on a stick." Brothers enjoyed various kinds of food which was served on a stick, and the meal was an overall success. Once the meal was completed the new associate members headed to Hinkle field house where they participated in Freshman skits.

The event was very successful for our new members as they were able to bond and learn to work as a group throughout the process of putting together their skit.

This coming week we are participating in national anti-hazing week as nearly 60 members of the chapter attended an anti-hazing speaker on campus this evening. We will also be actively discussing hazing as a house this week to better understand exactly what hazing is and how we as a house can help to avoid it on our campus.

This last week the associates actively experienced service and stewardship as they kept a log of their own personal lives and how they experienced service and stewardship on a daily basis. Our associates are coming closer together as a class everyday and are quickly shaping into a great class of outstanding men.
This coming week we will be hosting our annual scholarship dinner on Friday evening where we invite faculty and staff from the university and recognize them for all of their efforts and contributions to our academic careers on a daily basis.

I hope that everyone has a great week!
