High Alpha: Jimmy Montague

Friends,

I would first of all like to introduce myself as the new president of Lambda Chi Alpha, and welcome you to a new semester here at Butler University. I will be carrying on the tradition of sending out a weekly This Week at Lambda Chi to keep our friends and alumni brothers informed of our chapter's many activities and accomplishments.

The last few weeks have been great ones for the men of Lambda Chi Alpha. We have recently welcomed and Associated 29 new members into our bond, and look forward to a great semester working with these new associates as they work to become better men, and members within our bond.

We have recently worked with the women of Kappa Alpha Theta combining over 45 members to contribute more than 140 hours of community service at the Indianapolis Humane Society this past weekend. This was an overly successful event and we look forward to working with the women of Theta again in the near future. Last Friday members visited the Wheeler Mission downtown and served dinner to the homeless and hungry for a community service event.

We are currently planning a brotherhood event consisting of a broom ball tournament this coming Friday at the Pan American center downtown. We will take all of our current members and new associates downtown for the evening to participate in this event. We held a Polish brotherhood dinner this past Friday, where the brothers joined in a Polish-style dinner, enjoying the customs and food of Poland.

I look forward to working with all of you over the next year, and would ask that you contact me with any questions or concerns over the coming months.

Have a great week!

Jimmy Montague
