High Alpha: Joey Frasca
Greetings Everyone!
My name is Joey Frasca, and I am now the president of Lambda Chi Alpha here at Butler University. I will be writing a "This Week at Lambda Chi" e-mail to all of you for every week during the remainder of this semester. This e-mail will serve as a way to better inform the University Community, Parent’s Association, and Alumni of both internal and external functions sponsored by our chapter. We hope this weekly e-mail will allow you to gain more insight into the operations of Lambda Chi Alpha at Butler University.
As always, Lambda Chi has a lot to be excited about this week! On Monday night, we are looking forward to attending the Homecoming Kick-Off event at Atherton Union and hope to win a few initial points for the Homecoming Week competition. We are also eager to attend Java Jams on this Wednesday night at Starbuck’s. Our beloved members of the band "Class of 1929" will be performing for this event, and we will be there to cheer them on. We are also in the initial stages of preparation for Geneva Stunts, which will be held on November 3rd. Our first major all-campus event of the year is Watermelon Bust, which will be held in just a couple weeks on September 30th. Watermelon Bust is an all-campus social event that includes several fun and entertaining competitions between the sororities on campus. We have many fun activities planned for this year’s Watermelon Bust and hope to make it even better than last year’s!
Many of you may have noticed the giant mound of dirt on the side of our chapter house. Well, our alumni have been generous enough to have a full-length basketball court and bleachers built for the enjoyment of our chapter. The project is not yet complete but should be finished in the next few weeks. We are looking forward to the completion of this project and are very appreciative to our generous alumni for their continued support.
Thank-you all for taking the time to become better informed of the happenings of Lambda Chi. We highly value your continued support for our chapter. If you have any questions or concerns and would like to contact me directly, do not hesitate to do so!
Sincerely,
Joey |
